The Maschsee in Hanover made 360 m² of ZENDOME.domescape sparkle as a string of pearls. As the main attraction the ZENDOME.300M gave the Maschsee festival in August 2007, which attracts over 2 million visitors annually, a whole new quality. With a height of 10.20 meters a new dimension of spatial experience was created here, which the full service event agency Peppermint Event GmbH installed as a floating event space.
Supplemented by two ZENDOME.30M which are used as storage and catering area, this ZENDOME.domescape became a total work of art.
As befits real pearls, the complete system shone in a new silky matt coating: ZENDOME has developed a powder coating for the poles and patented node discs that are not only extremely robust and resistant but also aesthetically captivating.
The impressed visitors entered the unique space, which presented itself as a stage, lounge, restaurant, café and club, over a 16 meter long walkway through one of the four circular entrances, each with a diameter of four meters. Its interior design was developed by Public Light based on designs by Sasha Foster. The lighting control came from Brandstifter.
Roman Jordan, managing director of Peppermint Event GmbH, wanted to “create a new landmark for the Maschseefest” with the ZENDOME.300M. This has definitely succeeded. The project, realized for the first time in this way and form nationwide, ennobles the Maschsee and gives a new space to the lakeside promenade that is still hardly used.
Even Stephan Weil, Hannover’s mayor, was so fascinated by the ZENDOME.300M that he was reluctant to let it go after the glamorous three-week performance.
