Three geodesic domes and a total of 270 square metres of “space for ideas” supported the live broadcast of the European Football Championship 2012 on the ZDF football beach in June 2012.

On the Baltic Sea island of Usedom the exclusive mobile architecture of the ZENDOME partner Domeconcept marked a setting on the beach of Heringsdorf never seen before in this dimension.

The Hamburg agency Nest One was responsible for the staging of the ZDF football and brand experience world. They used the ZENDOME for the presentation of interactive contents around the topic of football.

For three exciting weeks, a total of 16 matches were broadcast from the ZDF football beach, presented live by Katrin Müller-Hohenstein and Oliver Kahn. Virtual stadium visits, a beach soccer field, language courses and many other activities turned the beach on the sunny island into an unusual event area. It also served as a special backdrop for formats such as the ZDF morning magazine, the ZDF TV garden, Lafer!Lichter!Lecker! and many more.
