In the center of a total of six of the eight theme gardens at the Bundesgartenschauin Koblenz 2011 is the smallest geodesic dome from the Modular product range. The ZENDOME.30M causes a sensation in the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress – as an information pavilion – and attracts the national as well as international audience.

In the theme garden “Preserving Diversity” various EU initiatives are presented that are committed to biodiversity. Green, playful and multimedia-based, the European Commission and BUGA Koblenz 2011 introduce the public to the topic here. Visitors can listen to the stories of some friends who live with us on this planet and learn how we can take action ourselves.

“Life on Earth is rich, complex and full of wonder. It is a diverse web of interconnected ecosystems, a web called ‘biodiversity’. (…) Looking at the world today, we see that intensive agriculture, urbanization, transport, mass tourism and overfishing are destroying the habitats of many species. In the EU, efforts are being made to tackle these challenges together. All member countries are affected. Plants and animals do not stop at national borders.
